Beverley and East Riding Golf Club was established back in 1889, making it one of the oldest golf clubs in Yorkshire. The club is located on The Westwood, an extensive area of common land. Part of the unique clubhouse, which has been fully refurbished in recent years, occupies an old windmill dating back to 1803.
The course itself is very beautiful and boasts quite brilliant views over Beverley Minster and Racecourse. It sits on common land, giving it a different set-up and panorama to most courses.
The course's undulations and general design form the basis of the challenge and most of the locals believe it is home to some of the best greens in Yorkshire.
