Exeter Golf & Country Club was designed by one of the leading golf course architects of all time, James Braid. He was the man who lent his Midas touch to the outstanding design and layout of the course set in a mature parkland location close to Exeter city centre.
The club first opened its doors to golfers in 1895, and so it now in its 109th year of delighting golfers. At 6023 yards from the first tee to the eighteenth pin, it is also a nice distance for a course and covers some beautiful, springy, verdant parkland turf. The fairwyas are lined with mature oaks and pines with the greens being rated as some of the best in the South West.
